Fresnillo goes from loser to winner on FTSE 100

Despite topping the FTSE 100's biggest loser table yesterday (May 12th 2011) morning, Fresnillo has conducted somewhat of a turnaround.
Yesterday the miner's share price plummeted, along with other related stocks on London's premier index.
However, as of 09:25 BST today, Fresnillo had advanced up the FTSE 100 by 2.07 per cent to take second place on the biggest risers list.
Eurasian - which also saw its value hit yesterday - lifted by 1.67 per cent, gaining a spot on the leader board.
Share prices rose for other miners too, with BHP Billiton increasing by 1.04 per cent, Xstrata 0.87 per cent, Randgold Resources 1.17 per cent and Rio Tinto 1.12 per cent.
Indeed, the FTSE 100 itself was performing well, edging close to the 6,000 benchmark on 5,990.03 points, three-quarters of a percentage point higher than yesterday's close.
Strong economic data from Germany may have helped to rally investor confidence that metals will remain in demand.
